Crunches strengthen your abs, but they can’t target stubborn fat, and many women find their core never quite feels the same after pregnancy or with age. Emsculpt NEO treats both in one 30-minute session: radiofrequency heats and targets fat, while HIFEM produces thousands of supramaximal contractions of the abdominal muscles (BTL).

The research

That sham-controlled trial treated 48 people with three weekly abdominal sessions (24 received a sham), and results were maintained at 6 months. An earlier MRI study of the original Emsculpt (HIFEM only, without RF) found an average 18.6% fat reduction, 15.4% muscle increase and 3.8 cm smaller waist circumference at 2 months (Kinney & Lozanova, 2019). Results vary.
